Jon Jones is a native of Lexington, KY. He attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and has been involved in many community related endeavors. His fascination with computers began at an early age when he helped to publish a school newsletter in elementary school. His interest would be reawakened at the age of 14 when he got his first computer. The computer exhibited many issues, one being that it would not play video games. Jon tinkered with the computer for a few days, and eventually got the game to run.

From that point, Jon has taken a hands on approach to technology and its implementation and thus began his career. His first Job in this field was to work with Fayette County Public Schools on the UCLA IMMEX (Interactive Multi Media Exercises) project which was funded by the National Science Foundation. Jon learned and used many skills such as the basics of HTML, web design, and flash. After this, Jon began his softmore year of High School. He was a part of his school's Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) and was eventually president for 2.5 years. During this time he also interned at Dunbar during the summer, helping to get systems ready for the school year.

During the Summer of Junior Year, Jon gained an internship with Vince Mongiardo. He got to apply much of what he was learning to the real world by working with real companies and organizations. Jon continued to do some projects for Vince after the conclusion of the internship. Using what he had learned from his experiences, Jon, with the assistance of his best friend Jesse Higginbotham went on to found J&J Tech Solutions.

About 3 months after this, on April 19th, 2007 Jesse died from injuries sustained in a freak car accident. This was a crushing blow to Jon, Jesse's Family and the new startup. Jon debated on if he should continue with J&J Tech Solutions.  He was encouraged by Jesse's Family to continue. After much consideration, he did just that. At the same time, Jon graduated from High School Early and took a Job as a Broadcast Engineer/IT Administrator at WTVQ-TV in Lexington, KY.

When Jon is not working, he enjoys being out in nature, hanging out with friends and writing.
